In 2018, Lachie began his career in marketing at a start up beer company, which at the time, had a team consisting of just two founders and one part-time sales rep. Paid in a carton of beer per week, Lachie went on a mission to grow the beer company from a locally known business to a leading Australian beer brand. ​ Being a start up company, resources were limited and a marketing budget was almost non-existent. Faced with a true marketing challenge, Lachie had to overcome these limitations and somehow grow the brand without cash. It was in this challenge that Lachie became a master of leveraging social media and content to build a loyal community and standout brand. He became entrenched in social media strategy, content tactics and creative delivery. Within his first year of building the brand, the business quickly outgrew its first location and moved into its very own Brewhouse facility, serving retail and wholesale customers on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane. In his next year, the brand skyrocketed again, pushing business operations from Central Queensland to North NSW. By this point, Lachie had also been given a marketing budget and had become a master of paid media, using it to drive sales and connect with new audiences. By his fourth year, the brand had grown to be a genuine top contender in the Australian independent beer industry, with diehard community members across the nation. The business had scaled immensely alongside the brand, with products being stocked in every major alcohol retailer in the country. That beer company is called Your Mates Brewing Co., and it now employs over 50 staff. After achieving his mission at Your Mates, Lachie felt himself drawn to a new industry - that being the automotive industry. In 2022, he decided to take a new opportunity at an established car dealership, using what he'd mastered at Your Mates to grow the dealership's brand through social media, creative content and paid media. After 11 months at the dealership, Lachie was overcome with a desire to serve more than just one automotive business with his skills, and he began working with 4x4 parts and accessories brands as a consultant. Finally, in 2023, Lachie took the leap and successfully launched Marco Agency. Marco's mission was developed from Lachie's mastery of growing brands and his passion for the automotive industry.
